The specific regulations and recommendations pertaining to radiation protection in Canada, including CANDU reactors is addressed in the textbook. A Canadian version of the learning objectives described by the National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists (NRRPT) were used as a basis for the content of the book. The goal of the book is to provide technical information for those who wish to become RPT’s in Canada and eventually, NRRPT. The text describes and provides the student over 140 examples of common calculations, and over 240 homework problems.
