This exquisite Louis XVI Dress is made of size 10 crochet cotton edged in gold metallic thread for 11 1/2" fashion dolls. Marie Antoinette re-introduced the farthingale to the French Court in the 1770's. This framework was worn under dresses to create the widest possible skirt. Our underskirt is created in a beautiful bubbly crochet stitch and shaped wide at the sides. The overskirt is crocheted in a lovely textured patter for the look of heavy brocade. The bloomers are gathered below the knee in a triple layer of frothy lace and ribbons. Her teeny crochet shoes are realistically detailed with high tongue, frilly bows and gold heels and trim.

Costume fits 11 1/2" fashion dolls.
